Strathlyn Coach House was restored in 1995 as comfortable accommodation for two. Built of local marble and blue stone with 30 centimetre walls, the coach house is quite an historic landmark, testifying to life of a bygone era.
The outside of the building remains much the same as it was in 1905, but the interior has been finished with extensive use of timber. A mezzanine level bedroom has been created from the original loft floor.
A balcony area, reached from the attractive bedroom, has panoramic views across the width of the valley to the Greenock Ranges. Guests can sip a glass of wine while watching the setting sun, or enjoy an intimate breakfast for two on a warm, still morning.
A separate driveway to the building, and secluded location away from the main residence ensure guests' privacy. The facilities, include full bath, separate shower and toilet, sitting room with TV, DVD, VCR, novels, board games and magazines.
There is also a well equipped kitchenette with microwave, hot plate and Nespresso Coffee Machine and well stocked with country breakfast provisions. A R/C air conditioner, heater, electric blanket, queen size bed, iron and ironing board, all linen and towels, hair dryer, gowns and bath, body and hair toiletries are provided.
Make use of the new Gymnasium and Guest Laundry.
